Our team visited for a birthday lunch around midday, with a party of eight. Since gratuity was automatically added for larger groups, it was already included in our bill. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough indoor seating available for us, so we were seated outside under a comfortable umbrella. The restaurant offers an extensive menu, including daily specials. They were also accommodating enough to let us order from the dinner menu when one of our guests wasn't satisfied with the lunch options. The portion sizes were quite generous. I had the tri-tip, which was beautifully cooked and served with potatoes and vegetables. The dish was accompanied by a well-flavored chimichurri sauce, though it had a bit of a spicy kick. Another special was a fish dish that was nearly perfect--though the pink sauce that came with it had an unusual flavor that didn't quite hit the mark. Overall, the Italian cuisine was of great quality, and the restaurant was impressively clean. There was ample parking nearby, though signs cautioning against leaving valuables in your car were prevalent.

We wanted some angel hair pasta, and they delivered some pretty incredible angel hair pasta. Not only that, but the environment was cozy, and the service was simple and straightforward.

This experience sets the ultimate standard for a casual lunch. I enjoyed a quick solo bite at the bar.

Have not been here for a while but it was a pleasure to be back. The food was absolutely delicious!! We had Garlic Bread and Shrimp Scampi ( OMG...mouth orgazim) for appetizers. We all ordered Shrimp Fiori, Sausage & Pasta, Linguini Fruti Di Mare, and Gamberoni Scampo for entrée, yummy! The ambiance was delightful and peaceful. We also had Tiramisu and Crème Brûlée. Overall, we were highly satisfied with our meal.

First of all, it will be hard to get better service. Chelo, our server, was excellent. He really took care of us. I had the meatballs and pasta. Way too much food! Very hearty. My wife enjoyed her gnocchi. My son in law had the Frutti di Mare and it was loaded with fish. Daughter had the pasta marinara with vodka sauce. She had bay shrimp which made it really tasty. We usually eat here when we go to the San Jose Airport. We always look forward to a great Italian meal.

Amazing!!!! We called for a late dinner about 7pm and they were so gracious to have us come in. They were super nice, great recommendations and did not rush us. We had the caprese salad, egg plant parm (their grandmother recipe) and spaghetti Bolognese. All super yum and portions large enough to take 1/2 home. Worth it is you are in the area !!

In town for a trade show and a customer and I needed some sustenance after a long, grueling day at a trade show. What we needed was some good food and I have been to Vito's in the past, but it has been a bit of time. It's been so long that I was confused on where it was even though we were standing right near it on Skyport Drive. My memory was of the front entrance being on Skyport. Not sure if that is true or just a quirky memory from long ago. On to the review, which you came here to see. We arrived before 5pm and we were not sure it would be open, but they open at 4:30, so that was cool. As you can imagine at that time, the place was pretty quiet. We were quickly led to our seats and our server, Efrain, came up quickly to get us some waters and see if we wanted drinks. Dirty gin martini for the customer and a Ketel One, Dry Martini with two olives for me. Off went Efrain to round those up. The customer and I reviewed the very long menu with so many tasty sounding choices, it was going to be a hard decision to make. The cocktails came and to give us some more time to choose entrees, we put in an order for the fried calamari. That was a good choice as it gave us more time and ended up being really good. Crunchy, but not overcooked. I would have preferred a cocktail sauce that was less ketchup tasting and now that I am writing this review I am thinking why didn't I ask for marinara? Why don't they offer this? Why? They should, as it would be a nice compliment to the very tasty squid. Get it and don't regret it. As we were still getting through the menu and narrowing down our choices, the server threw us a curve ball. The Specials. Ribeye with blue cheese mash potatoes and green beans. Sounds tasty. Next special was a sea bass served over risotto with crab meat over grilled asparagus and topped with a tomato, caper chunky salsa. The customer and I looked at each other, slammed our menus closed and both ordered the sea bass special. I did not have a second thought of getting something else. We had some time to finish our calamari and cocktails before the sea bass was brought out. First impression was that it was a tall stack of food that looked great. See pictures. I first dug into the risotto and it was delicious, but I am not sure I really got a taste of crab. It was very good, but maybe it was the rice, or sauce of the risotto that overpowered the crab. It did not take away from the dish, I just could not pick it out. OK, on to the bass that was a large, thick piece with a perfect slight crust and beautifully moist. The first bite was just great. At that point, I tasted the tomato, caper salsa which was a nice compliment to the other ingredients including the asparagus which was nicely grilled and made a fantastic base of this dish. I took my time eating this dish and did not have a single disappointing bite. If they offer this special when you are at Vito's, I highly encourage you to order it. It was the highlight of my work travel week's meals. Efrain was a very attentive server and took very good care of us. The service was 5 stars. Quiz: What should you order when at Vito's and the Sea Bass, Crab Risotto, Asparagus dish is the special? Hint: (order the Sea Bass, Crab Risotto, Asparagus dish) Go. Eat Great. HAVE FUN!! p.s. the customer loved the sea bass special too

Incredible vodka sauce! Came here for a friends birthday dinner and we were quickly sat. Our server brought out complimentary bread and balsamic vinegar + olive oil. I had the vodka alla pollo pasta, which is by far some of the tastiest vodka sauce i've tried. The serving size is very large and at a great price point. The atmosphere is very lively as the whole restaurant was full when we went, definitely recommend making a reservation for larger parties.

This is a very good higher-end restaurant conveniently close to the San Jose Airport. We decided to have lunch here Thursday before my wife got on a flight. They open for lunch at 11am and we arrived at 1115. There was only one other table with people at that time, but we were asked if we had reservations. We did not, but were seated at a nice table for two next to a window. It turns out that by the time we left, the restaurant was full; so, it seems that reservations are advisable even for lunch. The restaurant has a nice indoor dining room and also shaded tables outside. The tables in the dining room are heavy granite. The chairs are heavy metal with comfortable upholstered seats. We started with Cheese Garlic Bread ($7.50) which was very good. There is a full menu of Italian dishes, as well as pasta. What intrigued us was the Bistro Steak Pasta ($21.95(). This is pasta with a generous amount of steak cut into pieces and a delicious mushroom sauce. Fantastic! We each ordered this and we were glad that we did; it was delicious! As lunches go, it is somewhat expensive. However, if you are seeking a nice place for lunch or dinner with your favorite person, this is a good place. It's a great place for good food before getting on an airplane for a long flight. It is less than 5 minutes to drive from the restaurant to either terminal at the airport. We were able to park on the street, but there is a parking structure next to the restaurant's building and a small parking lot in the back.
